WOW RETAIL / GUIDE 08
Treat gold-making as a repeatable process. Knowing your costs and choosing saleable products is more useful than chasing high listing prices alone.
01. Choose a Profession That Fits Your TimeConsider gathering if you enjoy short exploration sessions, or crafting if you like orders and material planning. Do not choose solely because of a temporary price spike. |
02. Calculate the Real CostInclude materials, commissions and relisting costs. Gathered materials still have a sale value, so crafting them does not automatically create profit. |
03. Check Quality and RequirementsRead quality requirements for products or orders. Plan specialisation and recipe choices around a focused range of items you intend to make regularly. |
04. Start with a Small BatchTest the selling speed of a few items before buying large stocks. A listing price is not a completed sale, and slow products can tie up your gold. |
05. Review the Weekly ResultRecord completed sales, net profit and time spent. Improve a small successful route or product range instead of simply increasing transaction volume. |
Practical TipCompare different markets, such as consumables and decor, on a small scale before expanding stock. |
Important Note(Crafting professions can offer housing decor recipes from different expansions. Recipe access and demand vary; there is no guaranteed hourly gold return.) |
