WOW CLASSIC ERA / GUIDE 06
Your first raid is easier when you arrive with the basics settled. Complete the relevant access preparation, understand your role and finish organizing your supplies before raid time.
01. Find a Group That Fits Your ScheduleCheck raid days, start times and expected duration. Ask about attendance and support for new players. A compatible group can provide a more consistent learning environment than changing teams every week. |
02. Check Attunement RequirementsDo not assume every raid has identical entry requirements. Review Blackhand’s Command for Blackwing Lair. Naxxramas access involves Argent Dawn reputation and its attunement quest, so prepare ahead of time. |
03. Understand Lockouts and LootCheck your saved instances in Raid Info and the group’s reset schedule. Learn how its loot system works, whether that means soft reserves, loot council or another approach. Resolve questions before the run. |
04. Prepare Your Encounter ResponsibilitiesLearn each boss’s main danger and your assigned job. Clarify dispels, interrupts, positioning and target changes. Focus first on the few actions essential to your role rather than memorizing every detail at once. |
05. Finish with a Short ChecklistCheck repairs, equipment, consumables and travel. Discuss any requested world buffs with the group. After a failed attempt, review deaths and missed assignments alongside damage numbers. |
Practical TipPlan to reach the entrance before the scheduled start. Arriving prepared is a realistic contribution even while you are still learning encounters. |
Version Note(This guide covers Era raids. Do not assume every raid resets weekly; use the timer in your raid information. TBC or SoD access changes do not automatically apply to Era.) |
