WOW RETAIL / GUIDE 06
Good raid preparation starts before joining the group. Knowing your assignment and reducing repeated mistakes adds value beyond your equipment.
01. Study the Encounter for Your RoleRead the main mechanics in the Encounter Journal. Identify the tasks that directly affect you, such as tank swaps, dispels, priority targets or assigned movement. |
02. Complete a Readiness CheckCheck talents, repairs and consumables. Keep movement and defensive buttons accessible even when the encounter becomes visually busy. |
03. Understand the Group’s ExpectationsLearning groups and quick-clear groups have different expectations. Be clear about your experience and ask if an assignment is unclear before the pull. |
04. Prioritise Mechanics Over DamageStop attacking when necessary to leave danger or complete an assignment. Staying alive for the next mechanic matters more than a brief damage increase. |
05. Review Attempts ConstructivelyChoose one concrete adjustment after each wipe. Fix recurring problems rather than asking everyone to change their entire playstyle at once. |
Practical TipKeep three short boss notes: where to stand, when to move and when to use a defensive. |
Important Note(In Season 2, Ahead of the Curve: Ula’tek requires defeating Ula’tek in the Venomous Abyss on Heroic difficulty or higher before the next raid tier.) |
