WOW RETAIL / GUIDE 01
Whether you are new to Azeroth or returning after a break, simplify your route first. A few good habits make leveling smoother and prepare you for harder content.
01. Choose Your Starting RouteFollow campaign directions in your quest log. If you are returning, check the available Catch Up Experience option to reacquaint yourself with your character without getting lost in old quests. |
02. Build Around the CampaignCombine campaign objectives with nearby side quests. Finish a cluster of tasks before moving on instead of repeatedly crossing the map for small objectives. |
03. Learn Your Abilities as You GoRead and test new abilities as they unlock. Keep interrupts, defensives and movement skills within easy reach; learning damage buttons alone will not prepare you for group content. |
04. Check Equipment RegularlyEvaluate quest rewards for your active spec. Clear your bags, repair and take brief equipment checks so a useful upgrade does not sit forgotten in your inventory. |
05. Pick a Goal at Max LevelAt level 90, start with Delves, dungeons or raid preparation. Check campaign unlocks and in-game guidance before building your weekly routine. |
Practical TipMark your next campaign quest before logging out so your next session starts with a clear objective. |
Important Note(Midnight’s level cap is 90. This guide covers Retail; Classic and private servers use different progression systems.) |
