Know what you are hunting before starting boss runs. Prepare for an item with a clear purpose instead of spending resources on random expensive attempts.

01. Define the Target Item

Read what its special effect changes in your build. Prioritise an upgrade that addresses a current weakness over something you cannot yet use effectively.

02. Check the Current Reward Pool

Choose a boss using the current season’s item pool. Verify older tables before spending your entire key supply on one target.

03. Read Reward Requirements

Reaching a boss and opening its reward hoard are separate considerations. Check the required key and quantity in the interface before committing.

04. Test Single-Target Performance

Effects that rely on killing packs may perform differently against a boss. Evaluate resources, escape tools and safe damage windows before raising difficulty.

05. Compare Drops with Crafting

If your target has a crafting route, inspect its costs and restrictions. Do not postpone practical upgrades while waiting for a rare drop.

Practical Tip

Agree on keys and reward expectations before joining a farming rotation. Everyone should understand their own costs.

Season and Expansion Note

(In Season 15, targeted Mythic rewards are tied to a boss’s Unique pool, with possible exceptions from generic random drops. No fixed number of runs guarantees an item.)
