WOW TBC CLASSIC / GUIDE 04
You do not need to make every faction Exalted at once. Choose the content or reward you want first, then build your reputation plan around it.
01. Match the Dungeon to Its FactionTarget Honor Hold/Thrallmar for Hellfire Citadel, Cenarion Expedition for Coilfang and Lower City for the Auchindoun Heroic key. Tempest Keep dungeons use The Sha’tar’s key; Caverns of Time uses the Keepers of Time key. |
02. Choose Your First Goal by RewardCheck which quartermaster offers the head enchant, equipment or recipe you need. Prioritize dungeons that advance both gear and reputation. Record the specific reward behind each reputation milestone. |
03. Choose Aldor or Scryers DeliberatelyCompare shoulder enchants and profession recipes for your role. Neither faction is universally best for every class. Consider the cost of switching before investing in reputation turn-ins. |
04. Use Alt Access Keys CorrectlyAfter completing the relevant Heroic access on your main, Anniversary lets you buy a bag containing a Battle.net account-bound key. The alt needs at least Friendly with the relevant faction; send and use the key rather than assuming automatic access. |
05. Check Current Raid Access RulesUse account-wide support for completed raid attunements, but distinguish raid access from physical door keys. Check current phase requirements when planning a new character’s route. |
Practical TipKeep a short list: faction, target reward, required standing and relevant dungeon. This prevents hours spent on reputation you do not currently need. |
Version Note(As of 27 September 2026, SSC and Tempest Keep: The Eye no longer require attunement. This does not remove access requirements from every raid or Heroic dungeon.) |
