A few minutes of shared planning can prevent a restart later. Agree on the kind of adventure your group wants before creating characters.
01. Agree on Your PlaystyleDoes your group prefer questing and exploration or open-world rivalry? Discuss different expectations before anyone commits to a character. |
02. Choose the Same RulesetCompare Normal, PvP and Roleplaying. Characters in different rulesets cannot join ordinary groups, dungeons or raids together. |
03. Coordinate FactionsThe grouping boundary between Horde and Alliance remains. Choosing the same game version alone does not guarantee that you can join the same party. |
04. Check Region and CommunicationCompare account regions, available game options and language preferences. Verify that you can find each other before investing significant time. |
05. Do Not Assume Free TransfersYou cannot freely switch rulesets. Account for the need to create a new character if you want a different ruleset. |
