01. Use a List for Your Actual RoleTanks, healers and different damage builds need different equipment. Choose an Era-specific list and check the talents, weapons and group assumptions behind its recommendations. |
02. Choose Three Priority SlotsPick your three weakest slots instead of chasing an entire list at once. Find an accessible alternative for each. A solid temporary item lets you keep progressing during a longer farm. |
03. Combine Dungeon ObjectivesCompare Blackrock Depths, Scholomance, Stratholme and Dire Maul with your goals. A run that advances quests, equipment and access preparation can make better use of your time. |
04. Compare the Full Cost of AlternativesInclude quest rewards and crafted items in your search. Judge Auction House prices against how long you expect to use the item. Avoid exhausting your raid preparation budget on a short-lived upgrade. |
05. Match Your Raid’s RequirementsAsk your guild about entry expectations and budget for enchants and required supplies. Completing a whole checklist is not a universal entry requirement. Role preparation and encounter knowledge matter too. |
