WOW CLASSIC ERA / GUIDE 07
Managing gold is about more than long farming sessions. Consistent selling, controlled spending and achievable goals help cover your character’s needs without turning every login into a grind.
01. Set Your Mount Goal EarlyUse level 40 for a regular mount and level 60 for an epic mount as budgeting milestones. Check class-specific options and calculate the actual total with training and applicable discounts. |
02. Separate Essential SpendingKeep enough gold for training, repairs and supplies. Track mount savings separately. An expensive item bought mainly for its rarity can delay a more useful purchase. |
03. Gather Along Your Quest RouteUse convenient gathering opportunities when your professions allow it. Consider travel time before making a long detour for one node. Small, regular sales can be easier to plan around than rare drops. |
04. Read Auction Prices CarefullyDistinguish stack prices from unit prices. Consider deposits, possible relisting and realistic demand. The highest listing is not proof of what an item will actually sell for. |
05. Measure Your Actual ReturnsTest a route for a manageable period and record sales, repairs and supplies used. Keep an alternative when competition rises. Unsold inventory is not the same as earned gold. |
Practical TipBefore buying, ask what problem the item solves today. If the answer is unclear, keeping the gold for your mount or raid preparation may be more useful. |
Version Note(Prices vary with realm economy and timing. This guide promises no fixed gold per hour or guaranteed profit; check mount costs with your character’s current discounts.) |
