AION 2 EU Kinah Guide: Farming, Trading and Character Progression

Compare ways to earn Kinah in AION 2 EU. Learn how to evaluate farming routes, marketplace trades and crafting costs while budgeting for character progression.

Earning Kinah is only one part of building a stronger character in AION 2. How you spend it, which materials you keep and where you invest your playtime also affect your progress.

Unplanned gear upgrades, funds tied up in unsold items and inefficient farming routes can slow you down. A useful economy plan should support your character’s next goal, whether that is replacing equipment, meeting a dungeon requirement or preparing for another activity.

This guide explains how to evaluate gathering, dungeon rewards, marketplace trading and crafting. It also shows you how to track your actual earnings and use Kinah for character progression.

Version note: Global/EU and Korean/Taiwanese versions may have different economy rules. Check your version’s current in-game descriptions for access requirements, currencies, trading restrictions and reward limits. The budgeting and trading methods in this guide do not guarantee a particular income.

1. Learn What Your Resources Can Be Used For

Do not judge an activity only by the amount of currency or the number of items it awards. Consider where the reward can be used, whether it can be sold and which of your character’s needs it meets.

Distinguish Kinah from Bound Resources

If your version has both regular and bound currency, check how each one works.

  • Which balance can you use for marketplace purchases?

  • Which currency do gear upgrades consume?

  • Can you pay for the same action with more than one type of currency?

  • If so, which balance does the game spend first?

Avoid using currency needed for trading on an action that another available balance could cover.

Divide Your Inventory into Three Groups

Group

What It Includes

What to Do

Progression items

Gear and materials needed for your next goal

Keep them according to your upgrade plan.

Potential sales

Tradable items you do not need

Check unit prices and demand.

Items to investigate

Items whose purpose or value is unclear

Read their descriptions before selling or dismantling them.

Paytoskip tip: Do not keep an item solely because it looks rare, or dismantle it immediately because it appears to be low quality. Check its uses, trade status and alternative value first.

2. Make Progress While Building Your Kinah Balance

On a new server, it can be tempting to gather every material or watch the marketplace constantly. If those activities delay your main progression too much, they may also postpone access to more useful content.

A practical starting order is:

  1. Advance the main quests and unlock core systems.

  2. Evaluate materials obtained along your route.

  3. Once trading is available, learn the market through small sales.

  4. Set aside part of your earnings for your next progression goal.

  5. Repeat activities that produce useful results.

How Should You Price Your First Listings?

A high asking price does not prove that an item sells at that price.

Before listing an item:

  • Compare unit prices for equivalent products.

  • Check stack sizes.

  • Do not treat equipment with different attributes as identical.

  • Review completed sales data if it is available.

  • If information is limited, test demand with a small quantity.

Observe how long your first listing takes to sell. Then reconsider its price and quantity. Small tests are more useful than listing your entire stock based on one price assumption.

3. Choose a Gathering Route You Can Measure

Before planning a gathering route, check your version’s access requirements. Levels, skill names and resource locations from earlier AION games should not be assumed to work the same way in AION 2.

Evaluate a route using four questions:

  • What level or prerequisites does gathering require?

  • Can the materials be traded?

  • Which recipes or progression systems need them?

  • How long does gathering take, including travel and waiting?

Compare Two Routes Fairly

Test each route for a similar period and record the results.

Measurement

What It Shows

Materials gathered

How quickly the route produces items

Revenue from completed sales

How much value actually becomes Kinah

Unsold quantity

Whether pricing or demand needs another look

Consumables and other expenses

The activity’s direct costs

Travel and waiting time

Its total time requirement

A route that produces many items may provide little steady income if those items do not sell. A lower-yield route can be more useful when demand for its materials is stronger.

Should You Sell Everything You Gather?

Consider whether you will need some materials for your next upgrade or activity.

Selling an item now and buying it back later at a higher price may cost you Kinah. Keeping every material without a plan can also leave too much of your budget sitting in your inventory.

Decide based on a specific future use and current prices.

4. Evaluate Dungeon and Quest Rewards Properly

Content can benefit you without providing Kinah directly. A dungeon may award equipment or materials you would otherwise have to buy.

Assess an activity in two ways:

  • Currency return: Direct currency rewards and proceeds from completed sales.

  • Character benefit: Equipment, materials or unlocks you will use.

Keep these values separate. An item you equip may be valuable to your character, but it is not realized sales income.

Check Before Entering a Dungeon

  • Do you meet the entry requirements?

  • Are you currently eligible for rewards?

  • Does entry or reward collection consume a resource?

  • Is your target reward guaranteed or chance-based?

  • Can the rewards be traded?

  • Can your group complete the content consistently?

Entry and reward rules can change between updates. Do not automatically apply an older guide’s daily run count or resource costs to your version.

Use, Sell or Dismantle Gear?

Compare these three options before deciding:

  1. How much the item would improve your character.

  2. Its sale proceeds after fees, if it is tradable.

  3. The usable value of materials obtained by dismantling it, if that option exists.

Do not assume that every item produces the same materials or that dismantling outputs can be traded. Read the action preview before confirming.

5. Add Rifts and PvP to Your Income Plan Carefully

Do not assume that Rifts and PvP activities always provide high Kinah returns. Rewards, access rules, schedules and trading restrictions may differ by version.

Before including an activity in your farming routine:

  • Review its current rewards.

  • Determine whether they provide currency or progression materials.

  • Check whether the rewards can be sold.

  • Include waiting time and unsuccessful attempts in your estimate.

If you enjoy PvP, its progression rewards may make the activity worthwhile. If your main goal is accumulating Kinah, compare its results with alternatives you can measure more consistently.

6. Calculate Net Profit Before Marketplace Flipping

There is no universal starting budget or guaranteed time to buy and sell.

What matters is:

  • Purchase cost.

  • An achievable selling price.

  • Listing and transaction costs.

  • Time needed to complete a sale.

  • Whether the purchased item can be resold.

Check resale eligibility before buying. Binding or relisting restrictions could prevent the trade you planned.

Net Profit Formula

Net profit = Completed sale revenue − Purchase cost − Transaction and listing costs

A purely hypothetical example:

Item

Amount

Purchase cost

100,000 Kinah

Completed sale price

120,000 Kinah

Total transaction costs

6,000 Kinah

Net profit

14,000 Kinah

These numbers illustrate the calculation. They do not represent actual marketplace prices or fees.

Listing an item for 120,000 Kinah does not mean you have earned that amount. Calculate the final result after the sale completes.

Start with Small Trades

  1. Choose a few products you can monitor regularly.

  2. Record their prices at different times.

  3. Check resale rules and fees.

  4. Buy a small quantity.

  5. Evaluate the result after a completed sale.

  6. Increase your trade size gradually if demand continues.

Observe your own market instead of assuming that items are always cheaper overnight or more expensive in the evening.

Keep Progression Funds Separate

An apparently cheap item can fall further in price or attract no buyers.

Keep the Kinah needed for your character’s upcoming requirements separate from the funds you use for trading experiments.

7. Find the Real Cost of Crafting

Before crafting, confirm that the recipe exists in your version, that you meet its requirements and that the finished product can be sold.

Profession names and consumables from earlier AION games do not establish a confirmed crafting list for AION 2 EU.

Include Every Relevant Cost

Account for:

  • The quantity and value of required materials.

  • Crafting fees.

  • Any chance of failure or variable output.

  • Listing and transaction fees.

  • Time needed to sell the product.

Materials you gathered yourself are not economically free. Using them in crafting means giving up the option to sell them directly.

Craft the Product or Sell the Materials?

Use this comparison:

Additional crafting return = Net proceeds from the crafted product − Net proceeds from selling the materials directly − Additional crafting costs

If the difference is small, selling the raw materials may be simpler. Even when crafting appears more profitable, test demand with a small batch first.

Build Production in Three Stages

  1. Test: Craft a small quantity and record its cost.

  2. Check sales: See what price buyers pay and how long the products take to sell.

  3. Increase gradually: Produce more if demand continues.

Avoid committing your entire budget to a product before confirming that buyers want it.

8. Budget Kinah Around Character Progression

Spending every Kinah immediately can slow you down. So can delaying every useful upgrade.

Think of your budget in three categories:

Budget Category

Purpose

Regular play costs

Necessary consumables and routine actions

Next progression goal

Gear or upgrades needed for your next activity

Flexible reserve

Unexpected needs and small trading experiments

You do not need fixed percentages for these categories. Adjust them to your character’s current needs.

Match Spending to the Problem

  • If your damage is low, check your weapon, skills and combat rotation together.

  • If you die frequently, review defensive weaknesses and encounter mechanics.

  • If content is locked, identify the exact missing requirement.

  • If you already complete current content comfortably, consider postponing an expensive secondary upgrade.

Before buying more gear, check unspent points and materials you already own. Some improvements may be available without another purchase.

9. Build a Daily and Weekly Routine

Players have different schedules and goals. Build your routine around your available time, reward eligibility and character needs.

At the Start of a Session

  1. Choose your main objective for the day.

  2. Check reward eligibility and relevant expiration times.

  3. Separate items you will use from those you might sell.

  4. Purchase only what you need for the session.

During the Session

  • Focus on an activity that supports your main goal.

  • Complete useful nearby content.

  • Avoid interrupting play constantly to check the market.

  • Record time and expenses if you are measuring income.

At the End of the Session

  • Check completed sales.

  • Reassess the price and demand for unsold items.

  • Put some of your earnings toward your next progression goal.

  • Choose an objective for your next session.

Review Your Results Each Week

Ask yourself:

  • Which activity actually earned Kinah?

  • Which improved my character without producing currency?

  • Which products remained unsold?

  • Which purchases made progression easier?

  • Which activity deserves less time next week?

10. Measure Your Kinah Earnings per Hour

Use the same calculation when comparing farming methods.

Realized net income per hour = (Directly earned usable Kinah + Net proceeds from completed sales − Activity expenses) ÷ Total hours spent

Include travel, group formation and waiting in your total time.

Track unsold products separately from realized income. Record bound resources and rewards used by your character separately as well.

Activity

Total Time

Realized Net Income

Unsold Items

Character Benefit

Gathering route

Record the time spent.

Record completed earnings.

Track separately.

Note materials you used.

Dungeon runs

Include waiting time.

Record completed earnings.

Track separately.

Note gear and progression rewards.

Crafting and sales

Record production time.

Subtract relevant costs.

Track as inventory.

Note products kept for your character.

A single lucky drop is not a reliable estimate of regular hourly earnings. Compare the results of several sessions before changing your routine.

11. Avoid Common Economy Mistakes

  • Applying mechanics from earlier AION games without checking your version.

  • Treating bound resources as equivalent to tradable currency.

  • Assuming every drop or dismantling material can be sold.

  • Treating an asking price as a completed sale price.

  • Ignoring transaction costs and waiting time.

  • Treating self-gathered materials as having no value.

  • Using all progression funds for marketplace trades.

  • Crafting large quantities before testing demand.

  • Treating a few lucky results as consistent hourly income.

12. Frequently Asked Questions

What Is the Best Way to Earn Kinah in AION 2?

There is no single method that works best for every player. Your accessible content, completion speed, trading rules and current market demand affect the result.

Test suitable activities for comparable periods and measure their realized net income.

Should I Sell Every Material I Gather?

Keep materials you have a clear plan to use for your next progression goal. Check prices and demand for materials you do not expect to need.

Holding everything or selling everything immediately can both create unnecessary costs.

How Much Kinah Do I Need to Start Trading?

There is no fixed amount. It depends on the item’s price, transaction costs and how long a sale takes.

Start with small trades without spending the funds needed for your character’s essential progression.

Is Crafting Guaranteed to Be Profitable If I Gather the Materials Myself?

No. You could have sold those materials directly.

Compare both options after including crafting fees and sales costs.

Can I Always Sell Dungeon Rewards?

That depends on the item and your version’s trading rules. Check its binding and sale restrictions in the item description.

Should I Stop Upgrading My Character to Save Kinah?

Stopping all progression can delay your access to more useful activities.

Separate upgrades that noticeably help you advance from purchases you can postpone.

13. Plan Your AION 2 Goals with Paytoskip

If your playtime is limited, identify where you need support first. Kinah requirements, leveling and dungeon completion are different goals.

When reviewing Paytoskip’s AION 2 options:

  • Kinah services: Check EU region and server availability, quantity, stock status and delivery conditions.

  • Powerleveling services: Review the starting level, target level and progression included.

  • Dungeon services: Check the content, difficulty, number of runs and loot conditions.

Reaching a target level does not automatically complete gear or quest requirements. Completing a dungeon also does not necessarily guarantee a specific item.

Choose a service based on your character’s current progress and the outcome you want.
