WOW TBC CLASSIC / GUIDE 06
Raid progression is about more than higher damage. Consistent attendance, clear assignments and appropriate preparation help your group learn more efficiently.
01. Find an Appropriate Starting PointDistinguish 10-player Karazhan from 25-player raids such as Gruul and Magtheridon. Ask where your guild welcomes new players. Not every group requires you to clear every raid in a fixed order. |
02. Complete Access Preparation EarlyCheck the current attunement and entrance requirements for your target raid. Allow time to find groups for any dungeon or raid steps in the chain. Discover access problems before raid time. |
03. Learn Mechanics Through Your RoleLearn the boss’s main threat, your position and target-switch timings. Clarify dispels, interrupts and special assignments. Strong attempts depend on completing those jobs, not just producing damage. |
04. Coordinate Major CooldownsUse defensive and support cooldowns according to the raid plan. Agree on Bloodlust/Heroism timing. Uncoordinated use can leave fewer tools for an important damage window or dangerous phase. |
05. Clarify Loot and SchedulingUnderstand loot rules before joining and check your saved instances in Raid Info. Review deaths and missed assignments after unsuccessful attempts. Choose one practical improvement goal each week. |
Practical TipFor your first raid, know where to stand, what to avoid and your assigned job. Build on those essentials as you gain experience. |
Version Note(Black Temple and Mount Hyjal are available as of 27 September 2026. Anniversary’s Bloodlust/Heroism affects the raid; this does not make every totem or party buff raid-wide.) |
