WOW TBC CLASSIC / GUIDE 07
Your first flying mount opens new routes in Outland, while faster flying is a major purchase. Prioritize spending so mobility and character preparation can improve together.
01. Budget for Training and the MountStandard flying has a base price of 800 gold for training and 100 for a mount. Upgrading to epic flying costs 5,000 gold for training, with a basic epic flying mount costing another 200. Keep these separate from your other character expenses. |
02. Make Your First Flight AchievableRegular flying training unlocks at level 70; Druids have Flight Form at 68 as a separate option. Check the route for your class. Saving for epic flying should not leave you unable to repair, train or prepare for raids. |
03. Use More Than One Income SourceConsider unfinished quests, suitable dailies and gathering professions. Combine objectives in the same area. When a popular farming spot is crowded, switch to a useful alternative rather than waiting indefinitely. |
04. Compare Auction Unit PricesCheck stack size, unit price and listing costs. Materials you gather still have a sale value. A high asking price does not prove an item will sell at that price. |
05. Track Net Returns and TimeSubtract repairs and consumables from a short test session’s income. Do not count unsold stock as earned gold. Favor a repeatable route that supports your budget over the highest theoretical return. |
Practical TipTrack gold in three categories: essentials, flying savings and optional upgrades. An impulse purchase in one category should not consume another category’s necessities. |
Version Note(These are base prices for standard training and starter mounts. Special mounts, class routes and any applicable discounts may differ. Check trainer and vendor prices before purchasing.) |
