WOW MOP CLASSIC / GUIDE 05
Raid readiness goes beyond equipment. Arriving on time, understanding your assignment, and following the group's plan are the foundations of steady progress.
01. Understand the Group's ExpectationsBefore signing up, ask about difficulty, schedule, loot rules, and expected experience. A learning group and a fast-clear group have different goals; choose the environment that fits you. |
02. Choose the Right Raid FormatClarify whether your Siege of Orgrimmar group is attempting Normal or Heroic. Do not expect Raid Finder or Flexible raid options in MoP Classic; older expansion guides may describe a different format. |
03. Study Your Role's MechanicsLearn where to stand, when to switch targets, and which abilities to save for each boss. Even before mastering the full strategy, understand the mechanics most likely to kill you or your group. |
04. Prepare Your Bags and InterfaceRepair, bring the consumables your group expects, and keep important warnings readable. Favor a clear interface that helps you follow assignments over a screen filled with unnecessary indicators. |
05. Turn a Wipe into One CorrectionIdentify why you died and what you will change on the next attempt. Look beyond damage rankings; positioning, missed interrupts, and late defensives can matter more. |
Your Final Pre-Raid CheckCheck your raid saves, the group's progress, and loot rules before accepting the run. Clarify an uncertain rule before the first item drops. |
Version Note(This guide covers the MoP Classic Siege of Orgrimmar era. Retail Mythic raid systems and an automated Raid Finder route do not apply.) |
