WOW MOP CLASSIC / GUIDE 07
You do not need a secret farming route to earn gold consistently. Start by tracking what actually sells, how long it takes, and what the materials cost.
01. Separate Spending from InvestmentReserve gold for repairs, consumables, and regular needs. Avoid tying your entire balance up in profession leveling or crafting stock that might take time to sell. |
02. Choose Professions for Your PlaystyleGathering uses your time, while crafting also requires materials and recipe investment. MoP Classic profession progression reaches 600; identify your target recipes before paying to reach the cap. |
03. Calculate the Real CostMaterials you gather are not free; consider what selling them directly would earn. Subtract material costs, auction fees, and failed listing expenses from the finished item's sale price. |
04. Test Demand with Small BatchesCraft a small batch and track how quickly it sells. A high listing price does not prove buyers will pay it; compare actual sales before increasing inventory. |
05. Build a Repeatable RoutineTrack cooldowns and materials for the recipes you use. Combine a short gathering route, crafting, and auction checks into one session instead of repeating the same errands. |
Measure Profit HonestlyRecord a week's sales and expenses. Do not estimate hourly income from one unusually good run or count unsold items as gold already earned. |
Version Note(Prices vary by realm and demand. No fixed gold-per-hour result is guaranteed; check live recipe requirements and material costs.) |
