THRONE AND LIBERTY / GUIDE 09
Strong PvP play is not about chasing every opponent you see. Positioning, timely defense, and coordinated targets often contribute more to a win.
01. Choose Your Mode FirstA small-team Arena plan differs from Battleground or guild-war objectives. Learn the mode's goal, entry requirements, and team needs before preparing your setup. |
02. Build a Coherent DefenseChoose health, evasion, endurance, and control resistance with a plan. Decide which threats you need to withstand rather than scattering small investments across every defensive stat. |
03. Coordinate Control and DamageCall target switches and pressure windows. Sequence control effects around enemy defenses and your teammate's readiness instead of spending every control tool at once. |
04. Stay Connected to Your TeamMaintain support range and a safe retreat path. Let a low-health opponent go if chasing them pulls you away from the objective or beyond your team's ability to help. |
05. Review Your AttemptsChoose one correction after each match: a late defensive, poor target choice, or bad positioning. Identify what execution can fix before attributing every loss to equipment. |
Do Not Confuse Score with ContributionDefending an objective, interrupting pressure, or saving a teammate can win the match. Make sure improving your personal score does not cost your team its win condition. |
