PATH OF EXILE 2 / GUIDE 07
Preparation is often more valuable than repeated attempts. Check your character and intended reward before committing a trial entry item.
01. Read the Entry ItemDo not assume every trial run awards new Ascendancy points. Check the entry description and your character’s existing progression to choose the appropriate attempt. |
02. Protect Honour in SekhemasHonour is a separate limit on your run. Avoid unnecessary damage and consider Relic modifiers that help you manage this resource. |
03. Choose Rooms for Your BuildThe largest reward is not always the best choice. Carefully evaluate penalties that weaken movement, recovery or the main mechanic behind your damage. |
04. Watch Stacking Penalties in ChaosIndividually manageable modifiers can become dangerous together. Consider how each new choice interacts with the penalties you have already accepted. |
05. Turn Failure into PreparationIf you repeatedly fail at the same obstacle, identify whether damage, defence or mechanic knowledge is missing. Make a specific improvement before returning. |
Practical TipReview gems, flasks and equipment before spending a valuable entry item. Weaknesses that go unnoticed in routine maps can become decisive in a trial. |
Patch and League Note(0.5.5 note: You can leave a Trial of Chaos run and resume from the same room later. Reward chests also appear at the end of rooms.) |
